MACWORLD CONFERENCE & EXPO APPLESCRIPT SESSION ANNOUNCED
AppleScript - Getting Started in About an Hour
Phoenixville, Pennsylvania - April 12th, 2004 - An "AppleScript - Getting Started in About an Hour" session will be held at Macworld Expo in Boston on Thursday, July 15th, 2004 from 9:00 - 10:15 AM. This session will feature Benjamin S. Waldie, President of Automated Workflows, LLC, and will be opened to all registered Pro Conference attendees.
AppleScript is commonly referred to as "programming for the rest of us", and this session aims to prove this statement to be true. In about an hour, we will dive right into scripting, dissect the anatomy of a script, and take a look at some basics. You will learn how to write a few short scripts that will perform fundamental tasks and begin saving you time on a daily basis. You will also see some demonstrations of more advanced AppleScripts in action, and we will get you moving in the right direction with a listing of next steps and resources for learning AppleScript. This session is geared toward any Macintosh user who is looking to learn AppleScript programming and become more efficient. By the end of the session, you will have written your first AppleScript and be prepared to begin exploring the amazing technology of AppleScript in greater depth.
